To capture these market needs, with an eastern culture that prioritizes courtesy and friendly service, the Ministry of SOEs through PT Pertamina Bina Medika Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) presents Bali International Hospital (BIH), as a health tourism facility in the Sanur area of Bali that prioritizes services with high technology and international standard. To achieve these international standards, this hospital collaborates with the Mayo Clinic as a design consultant, the largest healthcare provider company in America with more than 100 years of experience.

 

Bali International Hospital will be located in the Sanur Bali Health Special Economic Zone and will be integrated with other health services. The strategic location of the hospital is side by side with the beautiful Sanur Beach, which is an added value and attraction for foreign tourists and the domestic community who want to experience medical tourism. The groundbreaking process for BIH development was carried out by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on December 27, 2021. The construction of the Bali International Hospital was also fully supported by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and PT Pertamina (Persero) as IHC's holding company which from the beginning Supervised the stages of the planning and development process.

 

The Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir welcomed the presence of the Bali International Hospital positively. This international hospital has two objectives, the first is to create new tourism in Bali, in the form of health tourism. In addition, this hospital is expected to be able to support health services for foreign entrepreneurs in Indonesia, “Because in general global investors make sure their health is guaranteed, with international health standards for their workers or professionals in Indonesia. Therefore it is important to build a health platform in Bali," said Erick.

 

Bali International Hospital is the first state-owned international hospital and is also a big step for the government in advancing the tourism sector in Indonesia. "Of course, we ensure that there will be continuity between tourism and health services so that this facility can be enjoyed by the whole community," he said.
